Here are some of our most frequently asked questions regarding Laser Vein treatment:

What is the difference between spider and varicose veins?

Spider veins are small, thin veins that appear close to the surface of the skin and often resemble spider webs or tree branches. They are typically red, blue, or purple in color.

Varicose veins, are larger, swollen veins that bulge above the surface of the skin. They may appear twisted or rope-like and are usually blue or flesh-colored At Advanced Aesthetic Clinic, we treat spider veins.

Is something wrong with my veins?

Not necessarily. Spider veins are common and usually harmless. They are caused by weak or damaged valves in the veins. The heart pumps blood out through your arteries. Veins carry this blood back to the heart. If valves in the veins allow blood to leak back into the veins and collect there. This backed up blood causes pressure on enlarged veins making them more prominent. It's best to have them evaluated by our Therapist to determine the cause and discuss treatment options.

I have small veins under my nose. Is that common?

Yes, it's actually quite common to have small veins, known as spider veins, under the nose. They can develop due to various factors such as genetics, sun exposure, or changes in hormone levels. While they are typically harmless, if you're concerned or they bother you, we can discuss treatment options to address them.

Are certain people at a higher risk?

Certainly! Certain factors can increase the risk of spider veins, including genetics, age, gender (women are more susceptible), prolonged standing or sitting, obesity, sun exposure, and hormonal changes. If you're concerned, consult our Therapist for evaluation.

What happens during the laser treatment?

Goggles will be worn to protect your eyes. The laser is activated and small pulses are directed at specific veins. Small spider veins may only need a few pulses, while larger veins may require more. In some cases, the smaller veins can actually be seen collapsing as it is treated.

Does the laser hurt?

The laser used for vein removal treatments typically causes minimal discomfort, often described as a mild stinging or tingling sensation. However, individual experiences may vary. Additionally, advanced laser systems, such as SPLENDOR X, utilize cooling technologies to enhance patient comfort during the procedure.

Will I need more than one treatment?

It's possible that you may need more than one treatment for optimal results. During your consultation, our therapist will assess your needs and recommend a personalized treatment plan that may include multiple sessions to achieve the desired outcome.

However, it's essential to follow any post-treatment instructions provided by our therapist, such as avoiding strenuous activities or exposure to direct sunlight for a certain period, to ensure optimal results and minimize any potential side effects.

How soon will I see results?
