What side effects can occur?

Complications and side effects can occur. They were observed in less than 5% of patients studied during the Revlite SI Laser System clinical trials.

  • Scarring, keloid formation and indentation of the tissue
  • Postoperative erythema, edema, and pain
  • Hypopigmentation
  • Infection
  • The same complications and risks that exist for conventional or traditional surgery also exist for laser surgery. These include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Allergic reaction to medication
  • Arrhythmia
  • Pain
  • Ulceration
  • Fever
  • Delayed healing

Why Choose Laser Tattoo Removal?

Unlike other methods which often damage the skin and provide limited effectiveness in removing ink, lasers pose minimal risks and typically result in only minor side effects. With proper aftercare and avoiding sun exposure between sessions, these side effects can be minimized.

Methods such as TCA, dermabrasion, salabrasion, and tattoo removal creams prove ineffective as they only target the superficial layers of the skin (the epidermis), whereas tattoo ink resides deeper in the dermis. Continuous irritation from these methods can lead to skin damage, with any lifted ink forming scabs originating from the epidermis, leaving the majority of the tattoo untouched.

When considering the only viable alternative, excision—a form of minor surgery—though it offers a quick solution by instantly removing the tattoo, it's drastic and leaves behind a permanent surgical scar. The healing process is lengthy, and there's a heightened risk of infection.

For a safe and effective solution, we recommend our Q-switch RevLite laser from Cynosure. With this state-of-the-art technology, you're in capable hands. Our experienced Laser Specialists undergo extensive training in utilizing our tattoo removal laser, ensuring optimal results and minimal risk
